The Merry Harriers is owned and operated by John and Lynn Bowen alongside their head chef Rob Phillips and second chef Liam Sampson.
Having worked in the hospitality business for many years, John and Lynn purchased the Merry Harriers in 2008, relocating to Devon from their previous venture; the MacDonald Hotel, near Glencoe on the West coast of Scotland.
Set in the Devon Countryside, the hamlet of Westcott lies on the B3181 – the main Cullompton to Exeter road, and is easily accessible. The Merry Harriers is dedicated to good, honest, hearty pub food, cooked to the highest standard, accompanied by great wines and fabulous local ales.
With a great reputation in the local area, the Pub has played host to all manner of celebrations including birthday celebrations, children’s parties, family gatherings, weddings, christenings, Christmas parties, corporate events and much more. Our meal at the Merry Harriers was amazing. The food tasted great and the atmosphere was lovely. The view is also fab when I’m either eating lunch or dinner. I visit this restaurant regularly because of this.
